Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a versatile engineering technician for the Columbia Gorge Engineering Office based in Vancouver, WA. In this role you will, perform skilled technical tasks in support of contract administration for highway design and construction projects. This includes ensuring contractors receive progress and final payments, monitoring required prime and subcontractor documentation, compiling information required to prepare permanent final records, performing, and checking basic engineering calculations, and interpreting plans ensure that WSDOT projects are designed and constructed according to established standards and specifications, on time and on budget. Our top candidate will be a self-starter, have excellent time management and communication skills, and the ability to interpret complex plans.
