We are seeking an ambitious Mechanical Department Manager in our New York City office who thrives on challenges and constantly pushes the norm. This role involves developing and managing the mechanical engineering department, driving early design concepts, oversight of designs and project execution methodology. Suitable candidates need to possess knowledge and experience in all phases of building design, through construction and post occupancy services.
The basic requirements for this position include:
- 15+ years of experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Professional Engineer (PE license)
- Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, and Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- Strong knowledge of state and local codes
- Proficiency in building energy and load calculations
- Good supervisory and mentoring skills
- Provide oversight of QA/QC
- Ability to schedule, assign, and project labor and staffing requirements for the mechanical team
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
