Job Description:

UDRI is hiring for a full-time Research Engineer in the Power & Energy division! At the University of Dayton Research Institute, we combine (un)common sense with creativity to deliver innovative, practical science and engineering solutions. On budget. On time.

The candidate will perform arc faults in a zonal electrical protection for a machine-learning based schedme. The candidate will also investigate the arc fault mechanism and locan detector to Cubird platform.


Minimum Qualifications
BS in electrical engineering with extensive experience in Machine Learning(ML) and Artificial Intelligent(AI) technical areas.
A minimum of three years of directly related experience is required.
Effective written and verbal communication skills
US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

PhD in electrical engineering with strong background in maching learning
Extensive experience in power electronics and intelligent power systems

Special Instructions to Applicants
A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide.
