Job Description:

As a Maintenance Project Engineer, you will support the Sheboygan Falls site with maintenance project management and be responsible for leading and managing assigned projects to full life cycle accomplishment from initiation to closure. You will have the responsibility for coordinating design, engineering, regulatory permitting, change management, risk management, scheduling, tracking, creating request for proposals, associated documentation, purchase orders, tracking project earned value, ensuring, and verifying safe execution, internal and external stakeholder communications including, end users, internal management, contractors, and suppliers. In addition, support the Site as a maintenance process subject matter expert.

 

  • Manage and coordinate projects of various sizes and budgets from initiation to closure, with different complexities and geographies.
  • Provide asset management projects and programs to improve utility and production equipment reliability, maintainability, performance, and efficiency.
  • Train, coach, develop, and mentor technicians, and provide staff with maintenance engineering support.
  • Manage equipment lifecycles from implementation planning to replacement.
  • Secure required resources and use formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and change management.
  • Participate in P&ID development, HazOps, and safety assessments & verifications.
  • Specify instrumentation hardware, analyzers, and valves as well as the maintenance, configuration, and commissioning of Process and Safety Systems.
  • Give full transparency on status of each project with respect to budget, schedule, scope, and risks. Maintain project files in designated Engineering Document Control Systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for timely start-up and align commissioning with engineering, EHS, and operations teams.
  • Support maintenance and operations personnel in trouble shooting operations computers, network communication and control panels.
  • Manage and maintain site CMMS controls and data acquisition for equipment and spares.
  • Acquire knowledge about industry specific maintenance, equipment, utilities, and safety requirements.
  • Follow Sector, Site and Maintenance Department procedures and work processes.
  • Completes special projects requested by maintenance management.
  • Exemplary attendance, adherence to schedule, and time management.

 

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or other engineering discipline.

OR

  • Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Maintenance, or other engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering, industrial maintenance, or other engineering role.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, industrial maintenance, or other engineering role.
  • Successful project management with proven ability to drive multifunctional team success with proven collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience improving maintainability and reliability of equipment and utilities in a production environment with cost saving benefits and improved EHS results.
  • Ability to read and update electrical schematics (control, single, & three line), P&ID’s and interpret all technical documentation.
  • Have working Knowledge of Network Design and Network Management.
