Job Description:

This position will support advanced manufacturing programs for sustainment activities within the AM Operations group. The position will serve as a lab technician for the additive manufacturing lab, including equipment/lab maintenance, build set-ups and printing, consumable and spare parts procurement, while adhering to lab and equipment guidelines. The successful candidate will understand additive manufacturing safety, techniques and provide guidance on design for manufacturability, build stops/lessons learned, equipment and part set-up, and part processing. The majority of work will support government customers, but some industry partners will be supported as well.


Minimum Qualifications
-High school diploma or equivalent.
-Experience in operating additive manufacturing equipment for metals or polymers
-Familiarity with CAD/CAM software packages
-Demonstrated experience with lab environments and adherence to lab policies & procedures
-Attention to detail
-Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills with team members at all levels
-Due to the nature of this position, US citizenship is required


Preferred Qualifications

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

-Demonstrated experience with additive manufacturing equipment
-Manufacturing or industrial experience
-Demonstrated organizational skills


Special Instructions to Applicants

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide.
