Materials and Fabrication Inspector – Transportation Engineer 3 (In-Training)

WSDOT State Materials Laboratory is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 3 (In-Training) to serve as the Materials and Fabrication Inspector in Tumwater, WA. This position supports highway construction projects statewide by providing expert and timely inspection of highway materials being fabricated and shipped to project work sites. This position is responsible for leading and supervising engineers to include managing inspection calls, updating calendars, and delegating inspection assignments. It is also responsible for leading and training in other duty stations.
 
Note: This is an in-training position that offers a career path and on-the-job training. This position allows you to progress through the Transportation Engineer field and achieve the goal class of a Transportation Engineer 3. Candidates will be considered as a Transportation Engineer 2 or 3, depending on their qualifications.
