Position: 34903 - Engineer - 1
Location: Porter Ranch, CA 91326
 
Responsibilities
· Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and Aboveground Storage programs.
· Areas of responsibility and/or involvement include: managing data analysis of multiple projects, making detailed engineering calculations and evaluations on Storage data, evaluation and processing of inspection data, developing procedures and processes for accomplishing compliance with agency regulations, coordinating and managing field projects, writing engineering reports and communications.
· Working within the framework of the current Aboveground Storage Management Plan, Gas Standards, and Form Instructions, work to streamline processes and procedures to meet compliance requirements, integrate/consolidate data acquisition and storage methods.
· Develop working knowledge of State and Federal regulatory codes, industry standards, and company standards impacting Storage.

 
Requirements
· Bachelor degree or equivalent and a minimum of 3-years of experience required.
· Requires knowledge of engineering practices and concepts, cost analysis, and Company operating practices and policies.
· Must possess the ability to review problems and propose innovative solutions, which involve technical, operational, and economic issues, and may link new concepts and technologies.
· Experience in CARB projects, project management, or natural gas operations/maintenance.
· Must be able to work and interact in a team environment.
· Skillful in personal contacts when conducting investigations to obtain information and cooperation. Must possess initiative and decision-making skills.
· Must have skills in organizing, planning, controlling, and coordinating activities;
· Must clearly and concisely communicate technical information and concepts with various levels of management in both formal and informal settings.
· Must be able to prepare written communications on technical and non-technical matters for various levels of management.
