Responsibilities:
 
  • Ensures goals, objectives, actions, strategies and tactics produce the desired results consistent with the organization’s mission and vision through development, implementation and attainment of facility/department goals.
  • Assists with development of the long-range operating plan and ensures organizational structures and resources are properly aligned to achieve results.
  • Creates and recommends for approval the annual operating plan which will contain the structures, systems, and processes necessary to manage current activities.
  • Evaluates operating results and associated operating processes to ensure continued profitable growth and ensures systematic reporting of those results.
  • Develops and recommends key process indicators or metrics that effectively represent the organization’s progress toward objectives.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to staff in developing innovative methodologies to continuously improve operations and deliver cost-effective systems and processes.
  • Interfaces with the sales operation, marketing and R&D to ensure synergies between capacity and Customer needs, expectations, and satisfaction.
  • Actively supports and provides leadership in attaining the organizations’ objectives relative to quality and Customer satisfaction.
  • With assistance from staff, gathers information, develops budgets, delegates the management of and oversees the organization’s capital and expense budgets in a manner so to control costs and maximize capital effectiveness.
  • Utilizes appropriate staff to establish and ensure implementation of operations standards, cost control programs, inventory and continuous improvement objectives, personnel policies and other related procedures.
  • Builds, develops and mentors an operations leadership team capable of meeting current objectives and growth strategies.
  • Evaluates business trends for impact or potential impact on operations and establishes appropriate goals to meet those challenges.
  • Provides direction for the recruitment, retention and development of individuals to ensure the appropriate personnel are in place to drive the organization progress toward its goals.
  • Provides leadership and facilitation for problem resolution and improved working relationships.
 
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or related field.
  • 10+  years of experience in Operations.
  • 8+ years of experience in Management and Leadership.
  • Any Industrial Manufacturing sector…Automotive, Aerospace, Med Device, Consumer Goods, Plastics, Rubber, Chemical etc
  • Experience driving a lean culture and initiatives throughout the plant.
  • Financial skills and Business Acumen.
