Description
The Systems Engineer will aid the Risk Manager by developing program Risks and Mitigation strategies, as well as contribute to database entries and guide conversations regarding risk formulation and associated mitigation steps.
 
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
·         Work with program technical experts to develop program risks and appropriate mitigation strategies.
·         Act as liaison in order to ensure quality input to program toolsets.
·         Review project status; manage schedules; prepare status reports.
·         Assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client goals and objectives.
·         Select, develop, and implement appropriate risk assessment models or methodologies.
·         Develop and implement contingency plans to manage disruptions.
·         Draft and evaluate risk disclosures or similar documentation
 
Requirements
·         U. S. citizenship required
· Bachelor's degree in related field and at least 10 years experience required for a mid-level position
·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
 
Desired Skills
·         NASA program experience strongly desired
·         Risk Management certification desired, such as PMI-RMP or RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional
·         Experience with Active Risk Management (ARM) Software
