My client is wanting to grow its cloud service usage and looking for an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to join our cyber security team! The right candidate must have strong, proven technical skills, which include experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, scripting languages like Python, and cloud provider ecosystems like Amazon AWS, Azure, and Google.

Their team is looking for someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact both with technical team members, peers, and management, as well as a non-technical audience. Engineers in this role will be encouraged to show initiative and serve as a project manager for the discovery and implementation of technology occasionally; That includes translating business requirements and needs into technical, secure solutions. They value individuals who have resourcefulness and apply strong problem-solving skills in order to swiftly and creatively deal with threats or flaws in a constantly evolving environment.
 
Qualifications Required:
  • Advanced knowledge and certifications in AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud solutions
  • Advanced, proven knowledge of Cloud Security
  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of application development, systems engineering, and network engineering to develop security requirements and best practices, enterprise risk assessment methodologies
  • Typically 4+ years relevant experience for entry to this level.
  • Working knowledge of PowerShell and shell scripting

Desired Skills and Proficiencies:
  • A background with common automation tools such as XSOAR
  • Good hands-on Knowledge on AWS Services like S3, Lambda, Batch, API Gateway, VPC, IAM, KMS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, SFTP, DynamoDB and Config.
  • Good understanding of Cloud Security and cloud native services like Macie, GuardDuty, SecurityHub and Inspector.
  • Guiding and implementing AWS best practices
  • Knowledge of designing highly available, scalable, efficient, optimized services/applications in AWS Cloud environment
  • Previous experience with Splunk
