Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a motivated engineer with strong technical, engineering, and interpersonal skills to serve as a Transportation Engineer 3 for a Materials Laboratory in Vancouver, WA. In this role you will serve as the Independent Assurance Inspector and fulfill the department’s commitment to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) for construction material testing and quality assurance review through the Independent Assurance/Qualified Tester Program. The Independent Assurance Inspector will work with the region project engineering staff to obtain tester certification and will perform audits on the active testers. This position will also provide design and construction support to the region project engineering staff through pavement coring and geotechnical soil testing. The top candidates selected for this position must be creative in identifying and solving problems and possess excellent project management skills.
