Job Description:

Responsibility for product and process specifications based in vehicle component application requirements, quality assurance, and sustainment provisions. Collaborate with in-house and customer engineer and test teams to ensure conformity including participating in test and work process operations. Manage and communicate revisions; work and safety plans; design reviews; and findings and recommendations. Create and maintain documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 and applicable commercial and military requirements.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in engineering, technology, or engineered product sustainment.
Degree requirement may be waived supported by minimum High School diploma plus at least three years of equivalent demonstrated responsibility and experience with vehicle component supplier, integrator, or operator/maintainer.
Minimum three years experience and responsibility with complex, safety and performance-critical vehicle mechanisms and components.
Experience in manufacturing and supply processes and cost-benefit trade-offs.
Demonstrate interest and ability for learning new products, processes, and specifications related to vehicle component technologies.
Experience with engineering systems software for documenting design or process changes and specifications.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office software for communicating plans and results.
Track record of recommending decisions implemented with favorable impact.
Due to the nature of this position, incumbent must be a U.S. citizen

Preferred Qualifications

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Cited minimum qualifications with cited responsibility and experience in aerospace field. Experience using Solidworks, stress analysis, etc. in design for manufacturability and sustainability.
Experience in laboratory mechanical, rotational, vibration, or dynamic testing.
Knowledgeable with component flightworthiness justification.
Experience in assessing and improving field support operations.
Experience with propulsion or landing gear systems.

Special Instructions to Applicants

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide. With this development, the University will pause any enforcement action against employees who have not complied with the requirement to be fully vaccinated by Dec. 8, 2021 or to have requested an exemption to maintain their employment status.
