Upgaming invites you to join our team as Artificial Intelligence (AI) Developer
What will be your duties and responsibilities:
 

• Develop new, and maintain existing, application features and functionalities across the entire technology stack;
• Write code that is eloquent, reusable, and solves a problem;
• Architect and develop solutions to complex issues that combine our on-premise and cloud resources;
• Integrate with existing cloud services to solve challenging NLP extraction problems such as analyzing and searching documents at scale;
• Keep the Enterprise Intelligence team up to date on current development best practices and ensure existing code base follows those guidelines;
• Work with a high degree of independence on projects, contributing to design, testing and implementation;
• Effectively communicate with non-technical internal clients;
• Monitor Azure costs for machine learning projects and use cloud resources as efficiently as possible;
• Provide technical leadership for firm-wide initiatives such as Enterprise Search;
• Mentor other developers on cross-team projects and provide technical guidance to other developers;

 
What knowledge and qualifications do we require of you:

• Bachelor’s degree in operations research, applied statistics, data mining, machine learning & related quantitative discipline is plus;
• Experience integrating cloud-based machine learning services into existing web applications;
• Experience using a machine learning framework (Accord.net, ML.Net, Tensorflow, etc);
• Experience using 3rd party configuration tools to develop applications within systems;
• Experience with a software development methodology such as Agile (Scrum & Kanban);
• Experience with relational databases such as MSSQL;
• Expert with Python a plus;
• Experience with REST/SOAP-based services;
• Experience with source code control tools such as Git;
• Experience with PDF manipulation and text extraction / OCR a plus;
