My client is seeking a Senior Level Staff Software Engineer for a 'DIRECT HIRE' role supporting the Research and Development Team with the client based in Buffalo,

Responsibilities:

  • Application development in support of key initiatives.

  • The Research & Development team is responsible for blank sheet problem solving, developing, prototyping and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Understand the software development lifecycle and understand the automation tools needed to ensure the continuous integration and deployment of software systems.

 

Required Qualifications: (Please Review All Requirements Carefully)

  • 10+ years experience with Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, MySQL, Python, Service Oriented Architectures, and AWS (preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience developing, testing, and troubleshooting web, backend, data, and infrastructure applications
  • API development and management experience, focused on application integration.
  • Development polyglot, and willing to eagerly learn new skills as projects required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal), attention to detail, extreme organization, problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Expert in version control systems and development best practices.
  • Portfolio of delivering and supporting high quality, highly distributed web service protocols (ie. HTTP, JSON, Protobuf, REST).
  • Self-directed learner and motivated to contribute to key components of the business.
  • Strong data engineering skills, including analysis, data operations, and data stewardship.
  • Subject matter expert in data integration, pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Thought leader in coded solutions and product delivery who is comfortable wearing many hats and can present innovative and elegant solutions to complex problems.
  • You possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field OR have equivalent practical experience.
