Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 4 to serve as the Prioritization/Scoping Engineer in Olympia, WA. The Prioritization/Scoping Engineer is the headquarters specialist for the agency in technical analysis and review of scoping information for transportation projects related to the Highway Transportation System. This position possesses an understanding of project development, state project prioritization planning, and programming statutes, and ensures that projects are scoped according to policy and Practical Solutions principles. This position plays a key role in ensuring projects are positioned to move into the design phase. The final review of the Project Summary is a key process to ensure Practical Solutions, and especially asset management principles, are being implemented.
