Responsibilities:

• Interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating assignments
• Planning and developing engineering projects to solve unique or controversial problems that affect major company programs
• Serving as liaison between individuals and units inside or outside the organization
• Planning, organizing and supervising the work of engineering staff in terms of general objectives and limits
• Evaluating progress and results
• Recommending major changes to achieve objectives
• Working in concert with others on individual projects as an individual researcher or staff specialist
 
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
 
• Master of Science/Ph.D Engineer with expertise, experience and a proven track record of assuming high-level responsibilities
• Extensive and progressive experience performing this level of work
• Ability to work independently on technical matters, as the supervision over this position is largely administrative
• Must be able to explore the subject area deeply, define the scope of the issues under investigation, and develop novel concepts and approaches
