Job Duties: Perform complex root cause analysis of service-related problems and make and implement recommendations to prevent future occurrences or customer impact. Design, develop, deploy, and enhance automation to reliably manage the monitoring platform infrastructure regardless of substrate. Design and scale out Salesforce’s services in a multi-tenant, multi-substrate infrastructure. Deliver the primary database monitoring and management platform for all Salesforce production Oracle-based databases, in a 24x7x365 environment. Focus on process automation in a secure, high-performance, highly available, and fully resilient infrastructure across multiple data centers and geographical regions. Perform complex root cause analysis of service-related problems and subsequently, make and implement recommendations to prevent future occurrences or customer impact. Collaborate with and provide detailed feedback to internal/External Database cloud stakeholders on resiliency initiatives. Actively participate and influence the roadmap on Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) platform deployment, release planning - and all other areas else that enable Salesforce’s service to deliver success for customers. Provide technical and platform support to multiple customers and stakeholders that have database monitoring and management needs. Provide support as a member of the CMP service on-call team to ensure 24x7 availability of the platform. Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and four (4) years of experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or four (4) years of experience in the job offered OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis or six (6) years of experience in the job offered.
