Position Summary:
The Pulsafeeder Field Service Technician provides technical support including troubleshooting, commissioning, pump startups and rebuild across Pulsafeeder’s global installation base. The role interfaces with Pulsafeeder’s global commercial teams, along with channel partners and end customers.
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Works directly with Pulsafeeder Representatives and End Users to provide both remote technical support (via phone/email), as well as on-site field support for Pulsafeeder’s line of industrial pumps, electronic controllers, and complete chemical feed systems. 
  • Responsibilities will include installation, demonstration, repair and troubleshooting related to product function.
  • Provide customers with product advisories, announcements, or other technical data as needed in order to provide world class customer satisfaction.
  • May provide training to customers both in-house and in the field as needed.
  • Conduct product warranty investigations and request the issuance of credit memos as needed in accordance with ISO 9001 procedures. This function will initiate RMA actions with related submission of credit memos.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of Pulsafeeder products.
  • Domestic travel will be required, approximately 25 - 30%, and may include some international travel. Some travel may be on short notice.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • B.S./AAS degree in Electromechanical technology Engineering or relevant work experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in technical field service and support function
  • Previous work experience in the petrochemical industry, water and wastewater industry experience is a plus.
  • Previous experience with industrial pumps, valves, drives, and control systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are critical.
  • Experience with presentations and comfort teaching in front of a group is required.   
  • Strong understanding functions of electrical schematics.
  • Experience working with customers to resolve technical problems and issues.
  • Requires exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Candidate must have the ability to independently gather information and apply knowledge of hardware and software to arrive at efficient solutions for our customers.
