Work with Company Account Managers, Project Managers, and clients in order to understand scope of work and specifications for projects.
Specify and design circuits, create panel layouts, and write PLC programs for our highly specialized security systems.
Specify conductor and conduit design for equipment operated by control panels that he/she designs.
Create Bills of Materials for designs that he/she has created.
Work directly with team CAD designer to ensure design is captured on submittal and shop drawings.
Proactively work with Panel Shop Technicians to ensure that design issues are resolved efficiently and accurately.
Design customized intrusion detection and CCTV applications as required.
Provide technical support to field technicians and assist in resolution of electrical issues with Company products in service.
Actively participate in forums with other Electrical Engineers in Engineering Department to share ideas, assist in problem solving, and help develop and grow electrical engineering expertise.
Actively participate in Company Intellectual Property process.
Coordinate with other project team members and assist others as needed to meet schedules.
Ensure that projects are handled in a professional manner.
Perform other duties as defined and assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience in control systems design.
Ability to obtain Professional Engineering license after experience requirements are met.
PLC application and programming experience using RSLogix 500/5000.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills.
Ability to travel up to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications:
Possession of a valid Professional Engineering License
Knowledge of NEC and UL508 standards and ability to apply appropriately
Experience with security designs, specifically government work dealing with intrusion detection systems, electronic security systems, CCTV and other perimeter security technologies
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical
Experience with wireless networking including setting up access points, bridges, and WDS.
Experience with using Ethernet tool to diagnose network issues
Experience with Allen-Bradley and Twido PLCs, HMI programming, variable frequency drives programming.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work at a computer workstation for prolonged periods of time
Ability to lift 10 lbs comfortably
