Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Technical Engineer to serve as a State Construction Office engineering technical expert for statewide implementation and management of e-Construction systems used in the administration of WSDOT construction contracts. E-construction is the collection, review, approval, and distribution of highway construction contract documents in a paperless environment. The Transportation Technical Engineer interfaces with HQ’s Construction Administration/Documentation staff to ensure eConstruction software functionality and workflow supports information gathering required for compliance with stewardship agreements and documentation requirements and is consistent with the policies and procedures in the WSDOT Construction Manual. The incumbent is also responsible for providing consistent direction and support for these tools as they relate to construction administration to the WSDOT Regions and Mega-Projects by providing region training, support for field users, coordination/cooperation with CPDM PMRS staff, and development of Headquarters and Region Subject Matter Experts (SME’s). This position will participate in and/or provide recommendations to those involved with the Capital Systems Replacement project from RFP, through procurement, e-Construction processes and program integration, user deployment and continue by providing the appropriate user support.
