Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Design Services Engineer located Vancouver, WA. In this role, you will provide technical expertise and support for the area offices in project delivery. This position is the go-to position to see what applicable design standards are or may be used. As the Design Services Engineer, you will support the agency's mission by providing critical design review support for the advancement and delivery of the Southwest Region (SWR) programs. In addition, this position is responsible for managing federal and state transportation programs for local counties, cities, tribes, transit agencies, ports, and other program grant recipients throughout the Region. Skills to communicate proficiently, both orally and in writing, are critical, as this position will frequently work in a cooperative and courteous manner with the public, contractors, supervisors, and other department staff.
