Overview
Manufacturing Quality CO-OP Engineer for Modern CNC Machine Shop. We are a 40-person company operating out of Watertown, MA. The company was founded in 1985. We produce high-volume, high-precision machined components for medical devices.

Responsibilities
Join our team to assist on several projects, including:
• Setup and Implementation of an SPC data collection/analytic software “High QA.”
• Improve maturity of process data and apply statistical methods to develop a deeper understanding of our process with the goal of achieving higher yields and efficiency
• Support process qualifications and capability studies (custom test fixture validation, equipment qualifications, Gage R&R, DOEs, FMEA’s, etc).
• Help roll out data techniques to the shop floor. Help write and update procedures.

Requirements

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be enrolled in an undergraduate or advanced degree program in an applicable discipline.
• Machine shop experience a major plus.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical technical drawings.
• Ability to use standard precision measuring equipment
• Practical knowledge of statistics. Familiarity with Minitab or similar analysis package is a plus
