Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Bridge Management Unit is currently seeking a Bridge Management Engineer in Tumwater, WA. This position is a senior level manager who develops policy, priority criteria, and project selections on a biennial basis for the bridge preservation and risk reduction (seismic and scour) of WSDOT’s bridge network (3,300+ vehicular bridges). This position also develops long term 10-year planning to summarize the future needs for this program. The Bridge Management Engineer develops an annual report on the status of the bridge preservation program and the condition of the bridge network, which is published in the Grey notebook. This position is the primary technical resource for the federally required Transportation Asset Management Plan (TAMP) for bridges.
