Job Description:

This position will support a broad array of programs for sustainment activities. The position will require an understanding of program management principles and processes. The successful candidate will provide project budget management, deliverable tracking, and technical support for multiple programs. This position will serve as a support role for senior program managers and engineers. The majority of work will support government customers with some industry partners as well.

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree
• 2 years' experience in financial project management-related activities (program control, budget analyses, resource management).
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office software - Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret financial/cost data.
• Demonstrated effective verbal communication with clients at all levels.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Due to the nature of this position, US citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

• 3+ years’ experience in financial project management or project support role.
• Demonstrated experience working with customers at various levels.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of the various Government contract types.
• Successfully demonstrated ability to work with persons of diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret financial/cost data and deliverables.
• Demonstrated successful collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Demonstrated experience maintaining database records.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively manage various project activities ensuring accurate task completion.
 


Special Instructions to Applicants

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide. With this development, the University will pause any enforcement action against employees who have not complied with the requirement to be fully vaccinated by Dec. 8, 2021 or to have requested an exemption to maintain their employment status.
