We are looking for a Software Development Engineer at RICHMOND, BC, to join one of our reputed client's Manufacturing Engineering team which is responsible for the automation tools and manufacturing infrastructure, as well as improving verification, configuration and production of core products.
The Role
You will work closely with your team, stakeholders, and Product Management to plan, test, develop, and deploy software.
To stimulate creativity and innovation we offer up to two days of “innovation time” per month to explore new technologies or product ideas. Excited about a newly discovered technology, process or other improvement? Share it with your fellow engineers during “demo days”; choose to give a presentation, run a live demo, or suggest a new format that best suits your needs.
Technologies used here:
Our client's SDK is written in C++ with wrappers in C, C#/.Net and Python by supporting Windows, Linux and macOS, though developent is primarily using Visual Studio on Windows. We are interested in candidates from any background so long as you have a solid understanding of Object Oriented languages. Here is a list of some of the other technologies our client use:
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Implement image processing / computer vision / 3D algorithms in C++
Software development, contribute to testing, calibration and SDK development
Learn about Machine Vision standards and Acquisition Software
Closely collaborate with other Engineering teams
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor/Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, with 3-5 years of relevant experience
Strong C++ development skills
Image processing / computer vision / 3D experience
A strong work ethic
Excellent oral and written communication skills
