Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 2 to join the Eastern Region (ER) Materials Laboratory in Spokane, WA. This position will serve as the Pits & Quarries Engineer, that is responsible for working as a team lead and as a team member maintaining the Region’s pits and quarries inventory and permitting. In this role, you will provide materials sources for contracts, allowing for the Region to receive more competitive bids for construction projects. As the Pits & Quarries Engineer, you will also assist and supervise the survey crew in topographic surveying of sites. Our top candidate must be versatile and be comfortable in the field performing inspections and, in an office, using engineering and reporting software.
