Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 4 to serve as the Consultant Liaison Engineer in Tumwater, WA. The Headquarters Consultant Liaison Engineer is a Statewide Consultant Services Technical Program Specialist who performs essential functions related to Professional Services and Architecture & Engineering consultant solicitation, procurement, contract negotiation, execution, and administration. This work requires a thorough knowledge of technical Professional Services and Architecture & Engineering procurement and contracting practices, departmental policies, procedures, state and federal regulations, and standards. Provides guidance and training to Headquarters and Regional Consultant Liaison Engineers, program managers, and project managers regarding complex contracting, procurement, and DBE/SBE/MSVWBE policies and procedures. Supervises technical contracting staff. Stewards the Consultant Services Database.
