Job Description:

We are looking for an outstanding electrical technician looking to grow their career and expand their skillset. This candidate will be working on some of the best precision, high-speed stamping presses in the industry, troubleshooting failure causes, perform repairs on wiring of control systems, and support engineering.

Qualifications, Abilities, & Skills
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience; specifically with automation, PLC & drive programming, and control systems
  • Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation principles
  • Have knowledge of industry standard electrical components
  • Research skills (Internet, industrial standards, technical journals, etc.)
  • Familiar with automation and controls software such as RSLogix, Connected Components, Simotion Starter or Simotion Scout, and AutoCAD or comparable schematic design software
  • Understanding of technical literature
  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Be able to work on ladders, scaffolds, and in confined spaces
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings

 What You Will Do
  • Manage electrical part of complete rebuild projects
  • Commission and start up machines
  • Perform root cause failure analysis and repairs
  • Use and maintain software diagnostic tools and various test equipment
  • Provide onsite customer support for equipment installations, service repairs, and start-ups
  • Collaborate with customers and team members
  • Adhere to and promote OSHA and local safety policies and procedures
  • Supply complete project documentation, as well as procedure documentation
This position will require the service technician to travel up to 50%, mostly domestic, some international. Typical jobs are 1-5 day trips, but can occasionally go longer.
