Senior Civil Engineer
$79,352—$101,272/ year
Associate Civil Engineer
$72,186—$92,120/year
* 2% COLA effective July 2022, 2023, and 2024 *
* $1,500 lump sum July 2022, 2023, and 2024 *
* 5% pay incentive for Master’s Degree *
The Associate and Senior Civil Engineer classifications are registered
Civil Engineers and perform complex professional engineering assignments
requiring considerable knowledge of various aspects of civil engineering,
including land development, planning, design standards and regulations,
and construction and maintenance. Considerable independent
judgment and discretion are required in the application of the principles
and practices of planning, design, construction and the administration of a
variety of projects to include but not limited to public works (streets, water,
sewer and storm drain systems), City parks, building projects, and airport
projects.
Associate Civil Engineer: 3 years if increasingly responsible Civil Engineering
experience, a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, and must
be a Registered Civil Engineer with the State of California. Must possess
a valid Class C driver’s license.
Senior Civil Engineer: 4 years of increasingly responsible Civil Engineering
experience, including 2 years as a project manager, and a Bachelor’s
degree in Civil Engineering and must be a Registered Civil Engineer
with the State of California.
