Job Description:

This role is remote with preferred locations in Houston, Detroit and New York.

The Sr. Director of Engineering will:

* Manage, grow, and mentor the CarStory engineering team.
* Guide the technical strategy and roadmap for CarStory.
* Help guide enterprise customers with strategic and tactical decisions.
* Define team OKRs to help CarStory and Vroom reach strategic goals.
* Collaborate with teams across CarStory and Vroom to:
** Define new APIs and services to continuously drive value for customers.
** Improve existing services to efficiently scale to meet business and customer demands.
** Continuously improve development processes to increase performance, reliability, and security. 

Who you are as the Sr. Director of Engineering:

* 10+ years of experience leading software engineering teams. Leading SaaS teams preferred.
* 5+ years of experience leading multiple engineering teams.
* Strong background designing and developing with Cloud technologies. AWS preferred.
* Experience leading remote, multi-national teams to deliver successful projects for large enterprise clients.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to identify, interview, attract, mentor, and retain high quality team members.
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field.
