We have an immediate need for an RF Field Engineer to join a wireless and telecommunications service company in the Clifton, New Jersey area. Are you an RF Field Engineer or Technician specializing in Wireless Site Maintenance? Do you perform system optimization, commissioning, and activation tasks at DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems) sites using electronic test equipment? A well-established wireless and telecommunications service company is looking for an experienced RF Field Engineer to join them full-time, direct-hire!
Requirements / Responsibilities for this RF Field Engineer opportunity includes:
- RF Field Engineer will travel to job sites, primarily in New Jersey. Outlying travel can include sites in Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut.
- Annual travel is expected at 75%.
- Will report to the project site and function as a lead field engineer to perform and facilitate the completion of fast-paced repairs, upgrades, and optimization tasks.
- Will make hands-on repairs, modifications, and perform installations of various system components, including the performance of a variety of system tests.
- Antennas, Coaxial / Fiber Optics, and Amplifiers.
- Will test systems utilizing various electronic test equipment, like Spectrum Analyzers, Transmitters, and Scanners.
- System repair and troubleshooting tasks.
- Should have a sound understanding of radiofrequency theories, like signal path, frequency, power, and modulation.
- Will be responsible for the use and proper storage of test equipment and work tools throughout the project duration.
- Associates Degree or Technical Diploma in the related field is desired!
- Candidates must possess at least 2 years of applicable experience working with DAS / Cellular Systems, including network technologies like CDMA, WCDMA, GSM, and LTE.
- Will work independently, and as part of a team!
Competitive salary and great benefits.
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
