About the job:
Dimensional Energy is seeking a Reactor Design Engineer who has technical expertise on syngas production and integration with downstream processes. 

Responsibilities

• Design Reactors for Reverse Water-Gas Shift Reactions (RWGS)

• Hands-on operation and troubleshooting of R&D reactors.

• Play a leading role in the design, development, and implementation of evolution of reactor design.

• Provide the operations team with Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) and mass energy balances process data sheets and design equipment such as pumps and heat exchangers for reactors.

• Analyze operations data and prepare reports for R&D efforts related to government grants.

• Support technical planning, cost control and schedule coordination for individual projects and communicate closely with supervisors, colleagues, customers and suppliers.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

• Strong reactor and heat exchanger design skills

• Strong HSE experience and commitments

• Familiarity with plant instrumentation and process control, including process gas analyzers

• Knowledge of chemical processes, mechanical and electrical systems

• Ability to both prepare and follow detailed operations guidelines and procedures

• Experience with COMSOL and ASPEN

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or closely related field

• 5-10+ years of experience with syngas, reverse water gas shift reactions (RWGS) or closely related process

OR

• Associate's degree in process operations

• 10-15+ years experience with RWGS or closely related process

Physical Requirements:

• Flexibility in work schedule, including shift work

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs

Position salary: $120,000 - $140,000 per year + equity
