We have an immediate need for a well-qualified Building Automation Technician to join a climate control solutions provider in Buffalo, New York.

Are you a technician, service engineer, or applications engineer specializing in HVAC controls and building automation systems? Do you travel to meet with customers, develop project scopes, and support internal sales teams by promoting appropriate products and guiding customers during the project implementation process? A well-established, global leader in climate control solutions for habitable spaces and horticultural applications is hiring now, and looking for a dynamic professional to join them full-time, direct-hire!

Requirements / Responsibilities for this Building Automation Technician opportunity includes:

  • Must have at least 3 years of experience as a professional in the climate control industry.
  • Will consider candidates with formal education like electrical engineering or engineering technology degrees, as well as candidates with a well-rounded controls technician background.
  • Will travel to customer sites for meetings to discuss the scope of work, provide guidance to customers about equipment capabilities, system specifications, and deadlines.
  • Travel is approximately 75% annually, within the United States. There is also potential for travel to Canada or Mexico, so candidates with Passports and desire to travel internationally are encouraged to apply!
  • Responsible for coordinating with all internal and external parties to relay project plans and scope, obtain take-offs for review, prepare submittals, and communicate with Project Managers to ensure projects stay on schedule.
  • Must be thoroughly knowledgeable of commercial HVAC systems hardware, equipment, and software.
  • Must have work experience with BACnet, Modbus, and other building automation protocols.
  • Will be involved in projects from implementation to completion, including programming commissioning.
  • Must be willing to learn proprietary software packages to perform point-to-point commissioning and establish BAS Network.
  • Should be able to work with a wide array of systems and equipment.

Competitive salary and great benefits.

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year, or commensurate with experience.  Benefits: Vehicle / Travel reimbursement, 401k, 4 weeks PTO, health, dental, and vision insurance.
