WSDOT is currently seeking a motivated engineer with strong technical and engineering skills to fill the Project Controller vacancy, located in South Seattle. In this role, you will be responsible for all areas of contract financials and schedule management within the Project Office. The Project Controller is responsible for the budget management, funding status, reporting functions, and preparation of forecasting documents and aging for all assigned projects. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop skills to be a well-rounded engineer, who is familiar with all areas of the highway construction administration performed by the Project Office. This will be accomplished by acting as a Project Inspector, as assigned. As a Project Inspector, you will ensure contract work is being performed in conformance with contract plans and special provisions, ensure the materials are properly tested and approved before, or during the construction process, as required; and coordinate with contractor’s representatives on schedules and clarify questions regarding contract plans and special provisions. Our top candidate possesses has exceptional communication skills and can comfortably work at a desk utilizing engineering databases or in a field inspecting projects.
