Our client, a leader in transitioning energy market participants to operate in clean energy, is seeking a hands-on Vice President of Engineering. They enable these market participants to develop better services and business models; operationalize them quickly in billing and settlement systems, and provide cost analyses of variety of energy uses, and serve as their customers’ trusted energy advisors as our societies transition to clean energy.
    
In this role you will help shape the future of the company by leading all elements of engineering developing their platform. You will be managing and building the teams responsible for the on-going development and technical cloud operations to continue to evolve and expand its world-class platform assisting utilities and energy suppliers to transform their businesses and accelerate the clean energy transition.

o  BSCS/EE or MSCS/EE
o 10+ years of experience in engineering with at least 6 years of people management
o Proven track record managing the development of large-scale, o SaaS applications in a high-growth environment
o Experience managing geographically distributed development teams
o Experience with full cycle Cloud Application development from concept to product launch on any of the public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
o Experience with Agile software development (e.g. scrum, Kanban)
o Prior budget management responsibility
o Strong analytical, organization, project management and time management skills
o Great energy and passion – must be comfortable in a rapidly changing dynamic environment
o Excellent written and oral communication skills
