Full-Time Electronics Engineer
NanoSonic is a growing high-tech materials and devices company based in Southwestern Virginia that offers its employees an exciting research, development and production environment and opportunities to grow.

The Position: We are looking for a full-time electronics engineer with the ability to model, design, build and test mixed-signal electronic circuits, and to write concise technical reports describing electronic circuit function and documenting performance specifications.  
 
Requirements:
  • BSEE minimum, MSEE preferred
  • Familiarity with circuit simulation and verification software – OrCAD Cadence PSpice, SOLIDWORKS PCB, Eagle PCB, other
  • Broader experience with COMSOL, ANSYS, AutoCAD, LabVIEW, MATLAB a plus
  • Hands-on experience in implementation of ultra-low signal amplification, wide-bandwidth data acquisition, analog and DSP, EMI reduction, basic WiFi circuits, PIC microcontrollers, basic power electronic circuits, Arduino architecture
  • Applicants must be US citizens to participate in much of NanoSonic’s work
  • Applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or receive a religious or medical waiver as NanoSonic is subject to Executive Order 14042.
Responsibilities:
  • Design basic electronic data acquisition, mixed-signal processing and communication circuits
  • Simulate, build, test and verify circuit performance
  • Work with multiple senior engineers on several projects involving circuit and system design
  • Take concise and detailed laboratory notes detailing system designs and performance
  • Write sections of reports describing laboratory procedures followed and results obtained
  • Contribute to program directions based on estimated electronic circuit capabilities
