Have you taught enough to know that far too few people have the skills needed to support increasingly complex industrial processes? Are you too familiar with teaching materials that just don’t hit the mark? Want to make a difference?

Amatrol is looking for a leader to help design and develop the technical curriculum urgently needed to teach essential industry 4.0 technical skills such as industrial automation, robotics, etc. This senior leader will directly lead a staff of curriculum developers to create multimedia content and hands-on, job-ready technical skills. You will guide and edit training materials to create a superior learning experience for the learner.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and edit interactive technical curriculum content that covers a broad spectrum of technologies.
  • Manage a professional staff of technical curriculum developers.
  • Collaborate with engineering and publication teams to create new products.
  • Research new concepts and new topic areas as new projects are added – and we have a lot of projects!
  • Track projects and generate reports as needed.

Requirements:

  • 5 years community college, university, or industry training instructor experience with a solid core technical expertise in one of the following 3 technology areas: Automation, Mechanical, or Electrical (Required).
  • Bachelor degree in a technical or scientific discipline such as Automation, Engineering, Technology, Computer Science (Required).
  • 10 years business experience (Required).
  • 8 years management experience (Required).
  • Excellent English editorial and written content development skills with complex technical content (Required).
  • Excellent analytical and reasoning skills (Required).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills (Required).

Preferred Skills:

  • Master or PhD in technical or scientific discipline (Preferred).
  • Automation expertise (Preferred).
  • Instructional design background (Preferred).
  • Industrial experience (Preferred).
