Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking Transportation Engineer 2 in Union Gap. This Transportation Engineer 2 will take part of the scoping process and the budget building process that must work hand-in-hand to produce a list of accurately scoped projects, in time to build a budget request for submittal to the Governor/Governor’s office. When WSDOT submits funding requests that are prepared in this way, legislators and the public perceive that WSDOT is a good steward of public funds. This position will serve as a staff engineer for region scoping and reports to the Scoping Squad Lead (TE3). This position supports WSDOT’s mission by scoping individual projects, following scoping instructions, for specific types and quantities of projects to start developing a Project Summary and establish a Project Definition in Capital Program Management System.
