Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Bridge Engineer 4 (In-Training) to serve as the Local Agency Bridge Inventory Engineer. This position directly supports the WSDOT mission to provide safe and reliable transportation options. This position is responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the Washington State Bridge Inventory System (WSBIS) corporate database for local agency bridges as federally mandated by the National Bridge Inspection Standards. The Local Agency Bridge Inventory Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day management of the BridgeWorks application used by local agency inspectors to update the National Bridge Inventory (NBI) data. This position is also responsible for providing technical support on the WSBIS and NBI data codes and BridgeWorks application to local agencies that own structures across the state.

Note: This is an in-training position that offers a career path and on-the-job training. This position allows you to progress through the Bridge Engineer field and achieve the goal class of a Bridge Engineer 4. Candidates will be considered as a Bridge Engineer 1, 2, 3, or 4, depending on their qualifications.
