Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking to fill two Transportation Engineer 2 positions to support the Southwest Region Construction program in Kelso and Vancouver, WA. These positions will assist the Office Engineer in processing WSDOT and contractor construction documentation. In this role you will be responsible for managing material approvals and acceptance documentation and helping verify, validate, and organize the required information so that documentation is accurate, timely, and per the requirements. The incumbents in these positions will track and communicate test results using established computer programs and manage the project materials documentation file. This support is critical in helping make certain construction contracts are administered according to federal and state requirements thus ensuring that transportation dollars are spent efficiently and appropriately, maximizing the benefit to taxpayers and the community. The individuals in these positions will also have the opportunity to grow their leadership and management skills as they direct and provided training to staff.
