Overview
 

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager – Property Condition Assessment Engineer/Architect for Architectural, Engineering Construction Services (AEC Services) Assessment Services Group, located in Tampa or Orlando, FL.

The qualified candidate will be performing transaction-based, equity-investment Property Condition Assessments (PCAs), and related architectural & engineering due diligence services on a wide range of property types including office, industrial, retail, hospitality, and multi-family. The qualified candidate will also be acting as the “Team Lead” for PCA assignments where the on-site staff includes specialty consultants such as MEP/FLS, roofing, elevator, structural, façade/building envelope and ADA/FHA.

This position requires management of multiple concurrent projects with minimal oversight; a willingness to travel regionally at least 50% of the time; exceptional writing and verbal communication skills, and the ability to meet deadlines without exception. Responsibilities
 
  • Conduct PCAs in accordance with ASTM standards (at minimum) and client-specific scopes of work
  • Conduct PCAs as a single assessor “Generalist” or be a part of a larger on-site PCA team
  • Prepare curative budgets to remedy physical deficiencies.
  • Perform peer-review of PCA reports and provide review of other-related technical documents, when necessary
  • Represent Rimkus AEC Services to the client in a professional manner
  • Other consulting project duties as assigned by senior staff
  • Work from a remote-home setting with organizational support

Qualifications
 
  • Minimum four-year engineering, architectural, or construction related degree
  • Professional certification/registration such as Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, AIA-Certification, or other related state licensing is preferred, but not required
  • A minimum of five years of experience performing transaction-based property condition assessments
  • Experience in engineering design, construction oversight, building forensics, and project management is also preferred
  • ADA/Fair Housing Act experience is desirable
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple project assignments according to deadlines and within budget
  • Independently problem solve and work autonomously with a sense of urgency

  • Advanced computer literacy on Windows-based programs, specifically MS Word and Excel
