The team 

Behind our technology platform that employs hundreds of thousands of workers in great companies like Amazon, XPO, Walmart, P&G or H&M, we have a team of more than 1000 employees distributed in offices in the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Sweden, Mexico and Colombia. Our plan is to continue growing such markets as we launch operations in new countries (up to 20 by 2025). And, to ensure the success of said plan we rely on self-driven and highly motivated individuals that want to help us take Jobandtalent to the next level.

Your mission 

• Raise the level of Python good practices, code structure, cleaning, and testing.
• Design and implement high-quality and performant Python code within our powerful ETL.
• Automate external integrations with our Data Lake and Data Warehouse.
• Automate complex solutions that might require training, building, and deploying a series of Machine Learning algorithms (no previous experience with ML required).
• If it also motivates you to mentor Python-junior profiles, share your knowledge inside and outside the team and contribute to Open Source Projects... this is your offer!

We Expect 

• Bachelor’s degree in Math, Engineering, Stats, or Quantitative field.
• 4+ years of proven experience programming in Python with production-ready code (not scripting code).
• Extremely skilled programmer (e.g., unit test, production/staging experience).
• Experience with different kinds of standard databases (e.g., RDBMS, NoSQL) and container development with Docker or Kubernetes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with different levels of management and the business and technical communities.
• Previous experience with ETL, data pre-processing, or data analysis.
• Supervising junior and mid-level developers.
• Experience with Big-data frameworks and OLAP DBs
• Stream processing framework (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, Spark, Flink).
• A valid work permit to be employed in Spain.
• Fluent in English is a must.
