Our eCommerce and cataloging products power programs for the world’s leading vehicle brands - including Subaru, VW, Audi, Volvo, Toyota, Lexus and BMW.

We are looking for a driven collaborator, contributor, and critical-thinker as our next QA Test Engineer. We currently have a two-person QA team that conducts business-oriented review while working side-by-side with our growing Platform Development team. Our QA team is responsible for testing functionality and design priorities laid out in our two-week agile-based sprint/deploy cycle.

The ideal candidate will use their UI/UX knowledge and basic understanding of CSS/HTML to advocate for our consumer experience. In this capacity, we want you to catch bugs internally during the development and QA process to ensure we’re deploying top-notch work in line with the global brands we represent. In addition, the ideal candidate can expect to be highly involved in the brainstorming, planning, execution, and delivery of test plans and their results while actively looking for and expressing new ideas to improve our internal processes.

QUALIFICATIONS & QUALITIES OF AN IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Curious, open-minded, and driven to learn
  • Critical, creative, and strategic thinking capability
  • Willingness to take ownership of our projects and their end results
  • An excellent communicator able to effectively work on cross-functional teams with experience monitoring progress, reviewing work, and communicating expectations
  • Ability to work in a very high-pressure, fast paced environment with changing priorities, with the ability to adapt to new processes as they're implemented.
  • Knowledge of and experience with responsive design and site performance
  • UI/UX, CSS/HTML, and WCAG Awareness Strongly Preferred
  • An appreciation for cars, motorcycles, and automotive culture is not required, but will help you feel at home.

DUTIES:

  • Work with business and product teams to deeply understand requirements and ensure they are captured upfront before technical work begins.
  • Create and execute testing plans that go beyond the requirements and captures the spirit of the work planned for each Sprint.
  • Review functional objectives as described while also ensuring a good user experience.
  • Review of Design Objectives using mockups from Invision provided by the Design team
  • Work in Visual Studio Team Services to capture and communicate detailed information about issues found in testing.
  • Embed in the development process to help us find and identify all issues before release
  • Work collaboratively with developers to iteratively improve our product and team processes.

Please include a cover letter with your application that represents you, your experience, and why you would be the perfect fit to join our SimplePart family as a QA Test Engineer. In the letter, please include an example of a website you admire with examples of issues you found on the site and recommendations you have to address said issues.

This is a fun, fast-paced, close-knit environment with plenty of room to grow and be creative. We are an established, solidly profitable company with a start-up working environment and a brilliant team. We offer full-time W2 positions with company-paid health/dental/vision/life benefits, FSA, matching 401(k), paid vacation, dog-friendly office, relaxed dress code, eclectic company culture, and a great office location in Downtown Atlanta.

SimplePart serves the world’s top auto and motorcycle brands, including Toyota, Subaru, Volkswagen, Audi, Volvo and BMW. We serve the Fixed Operations space with Data, Services and Solutions to help connect owners to Parts and Service from their local Dealer.
