Responsibilities

This Manufacturing Engineer role will be responsible for production line process improvements, tooling, and shop aid design, and will manage continuous improvement principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.

 

Support both the Sales and Operations teams by:

· Developing manufacturing processes and controls

· Identifying and implementing process improvements

· Identifying and designing tooling, production equipment, assembly methods to reduce production cost

· Determining root cause of failures and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods

· Reviewing product designs for manufacturability or completeness

· Preparing documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures

· Training production personnel in new or existing methods

· Must be able to work co-operatively with other individuals and make valued contributions to the outputs of others in-order to assist team or project goals

· Conducts business in a respectful and productive manner

· Implement process control and improvements that reduce cost and time

· Successful implementation of new product through new manufacturing methods and Tooling

· Foster good working relationships with all personnel

 

Education, Skills and Certifications

 

· Must have a bachelor's degree in Engineering

· 2 plus years of work experience

· Ability to work independently in a dynamic work environment

· Good communication skills, both written and verbal

· Ability to present data effectively
