We are currently looking for Project Engineers to join us in Union City, California.
 
Job Responsibilities:
 

• Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, this position encompasses all the necessary responsibilities to work with the project team to ensure the successful completion of each project.
•  
• Read and understand all project specifications and procedures.
•  
• Prepare all required submittals (LEED, if applicable) and documents as indicated in the project specifications.
•  
• Ability to utilize AutoCAD for detailing drawings.
•  
• Attend kick-off meetings, document notes, and communicate with the internal team.
•  
• Using the internal systems, initiate all change order transmittals, RFI’s, and change order quotes.
•  
• Assist with creating purchase orders and tracking vendor invoices for each project.
• Communicate effectively with the Project Management team and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.

A Project Engineer at Northwood Design Partners must be self-motivated, eager to learn, and always looking for the opportunity for improvements and thinking outside the box.
 
A Project Engineer is a key team member, and it includes interacting and coordinating with a team of Purchasing, Shop Production, Field Personnel, Estimating, and Project Management. This also includes facilitating and helping each team successfully monitor and review all aspects of a product's lifetime. Cabinet Vision experience is a plus. Strong AutoCAD experience is a requirement.
