UDRI’s Additive Manufacturing and Repair Technologies Group (AMRTG) supports government and commercial clients in the development, prototyping, testing, qualification, and documentation of additive manufacturing (AM) parts, equipment, and processes for commercialization and production. The organization features interdependencies between materials characterization, product engineering, manufacturing, and quality functions. Sound management of the flow of projects through the interdependent functions and processes is critical to the organization’s ability to meet and exceed customer expectations.

The Master Scheduler should be able to investigate, gather and develop a master schedule that encompasses many different projects and activities, capturing and managing their interdependencies. Once the master schedule is established, this person will coordinate the product through several senior employees, monitor the progress against the schedule and be able to support and recommend workarounds as needed. Additionally, the schedule should be live (adding new projects as received) and comprehensive allowing for evaluation and assessment to identify critical paths, critical times, and activities to highlight to management.

Duties will include, but are not be limited to, the scheduling, management, and tracking of up to 125 part-centric projects (the portfolio for one of two sites) through the product development process (PDP) at any given time; compiling and conducting daily portfolio schedule updates and production priority reviews with process and functional stakeholders; generation of routine and ad-hoc status reports for key stakeholders; providing forecast of upcoming jobs for the AM Operations Group. Success will come from our teamwork and mutual respect for each other’s talents and unique perspectives.

Minimum Qualifications

P1 minimum requirements

1. Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 2 years’ of related experience.
2. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in “engineering type” project scheduling.
3. Ability to work with clients and understand their needs.
4. Demonstrated expertise in the use of the entire suite of Microsoft Office programs.
5. Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Open Plan, or other project scheduling programs.
6. Demonstrated experience in managing and maintaining a large integrated master schedule.
7. Attention to detail.
8. Highly organized with strong time management skills.
9. Self-motivated with ability to work with no supervision .
10. Effective verbal communication skills with team members at all levels.
11. Due to the nature of this position, US citizenship is required.

P2 minimum requirements

Preferred Qualifications
1. 5+ years’ of experience in “engineering type” project scheduling.
2. Experience working with DoD.
3. Experience with Deltek Open Plan software.
4. Experience with Salesforce.
5. Capability to work in a team environment.
6. Possess motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies.
7. Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
