Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a GeoMetrix Engineer in Tumwater, WA. The GeoMetrix Office is a multi-functional organization within the HQ Development Division, consisting of the Computer Aided Engineering, Survey and Mapping, Right of Way Plans, and Visual Engineering Resource units.  Together, these units provide essential agency-wide support towards fulfilling WSDOT’s mission. The Development Division is seeking a high performing and motivated individual to fill the position of GeoMetrix Manager. 
The Office consists of 23 employees, with four-unit managers directly reporting to the GeoMetrix Manager. This position involves broad scope and responsibility, including providing the leadership and advocacy necessary to ensure that each GeoMetrix unit has the tools, knowledge and support necessary to assist with the agency’s project and program needs. The incumbent is not expected to have expertise in all of the GeoMetrix functional areas but is expected to possess the ability to learn new and complex technical skills quickly and to apply this knowledge for various purposes, including technical and policy research, promoting GeoMetrix services, contract negotiation and management, and other leadership functions.
