Job Description:

Hughes Network Systems, an EchoStar Corporation company, has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager of Warranty Operations. This position will be located at our Manufacturing facility in Gaithersburg, MD. This individual will be responsible for overseeing and managing all warranty operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate customer requirements into state-of-art manufacturing strategies and processes, resulting in cost-effective processing and profitable manufacturing of company goods

  • Develop and execute continuous improvement efforts to improve efficiency and utilization of warranty lines

  • Oversee the allocation of personnel, material and equipment resources to meet the daily objective

  • Plan, direct and coordinate the reconditioning of products in strict compliance with company goals and objectives.

  • Effectively manage of the warranty departments

  • Manage multi-shift warranty operations to meet daily schedules at the optimum level of productivity and quality.

  • Provide management and leadership to supervisors

  • Defines goals, improves technologies and resolves manufacturing problems

 

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing or related field

  • Ten (10) years of experience working in an electronics manufacturing environment

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong engineering skills, with detail understanding of multiple warranty manufacturing lines

  • Experience within a lean manufacturing environment with demonstrated results and oriented leadership leading to continuous cost, quality and productivity improvement.

  • Demonstrated success with Six-Sigma or other problem-solving methodologies in a production environment.

  • Knowledge of all aspects of electronics manufacturing processes.

  • Hands on experience with production test software and hardware development.

  • Good analytical and communication skills.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge of SAP software

 

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
