Project Engineer - Responsible for process engineering support for the Plastics Division
Hours:Monday - Friday
8.5-hrs minimum per week day
7:30 am-4:30 pm
Overtime: Exempt
Experience / Training: B.S. Engineering: Preferably mechanical or industrial.
Minimum 5 years plastic injection molding process
Experience with late model molding machines and robots, preferably Arburg's.
Injection mold tooling knowledge.
Computer Skills: CAD: Preferably Solid Works, Microsoft Office: Power Point, Word, & Excel
Responsibilities: Develops and optimizes molding machine and robot cycles using experimental molding methods.
Assists with machine startups and troubleshooting.
Evaluates tooling and makes recommendations for necessary improvements, changes or repairs.
Develops robot end of arm tooling for new projects.
Provides engineering support for all production activities.
Identifies and implements process automation and cost reductions.
Provides engineering support for new project development and launch.
Develops Standard Operating Instructions and Work Instructions.
Assists with development of production standards with the use of time studies.
Provides support for resolving product quality issues.
Other duties as assigned by management
