Engineering Manager Position (Req. 2021-05)

Cotterman Company currently has an opening for an Engineering Manager in our Michigan Office. The primary function of this position is to develop and oversee all managerial and administrative functions of the Engineering Department to meet Corporate goals. These activities include the research and develop of new and custom products from a basic concept, testing and field release. This also includes assigning work and directing staff to reach on time project completion dates and assisting manufacturing in troubleshooting problems and support for products.



- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline required.
- Experience in applications engineering, strong experience in mechanical/electrical designs.
- Six years of proven experience in a leadership role managing engineering staff.
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational, administrative and problem-solving skills.
- Strong computer skills, ability to effectively use MS Office Products, and Company Engineering Design software.
- Ability to direct employees to work as team members to meet organizational goals.

Successful completion of applicable test(s) administered by Human Resources which may include Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, Problem Solving, Math and Computer skills to include MS Word and Excel.
